Morab horses
are ideal competitive, endurance and long distance horses. The
Morgan-Arabian parentage provides unusually strong feet, while their
excellent pulmonary-respiratory system and long, lean muscles dissipate heat
quickly to allow traveling long distances. Their short backs, which have
one less set of vertebrae than most other breeds, allows for a comfortable
ride for both rider and horse. After a proper conditioning program, Morabs are used very successfully for
endurance riding, competitive riding, and long-distance riding. Morabs have
a great work ethic and seem to be able to travel all types of terrain and
conditions over long time periods and distances without tiring. Their
eagerness to please and willingness to cheerfully carry a rider mile after
mile has won them many admirers.

Menora Fine Figure is an accomplished endurance horse living in
Australia. In 2003 she was first place in the 160K (100 mile) Mt.
Cole Challenge and also won the fittest horse award. Later that
year she was the first Morab to successfully complete the grueling
400K (250 miles) five-day Shahzada Memorial Ride. The trail runs
through the rugged Blue Mountains of New South Wales with terrain of
rocks, goat paths and steep ridgelines. This beautiful little mare
got stronger as each day passed and gained a fan club of fellow
riders and strappers (crew).
